I had a weird experience today while out riding, all of a sudden the revs dropped off and there was no throttle response.after pulling over to a safe location I identified that the connector rod for the throttles had come off on the left hand side. The black plastic housing appears to be just a push on connector and after 88,000 kms it had worn to a point where it just did not have enough grip to hold the rod on, see photo.

Exact thing happened to my Centauro years ago. Odd feeling when it loses power like that.
I drilled out the pressed in post and installed a stainless steel part. Not sure what the number was, it was so long ago.

Actually, I found it in my records. Part number 2988K311 at McMaster Carr.

It also needed a bolt, nut and appropriate washers.

Good to know, I'll check my Griso 1100 because it will hit 88,000 km this year after it stops raining here in Northern California.

Maybe I'd better start packing some tie wire & duct tape for roadside repairs.
