• NOTICE: The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com completely lost his home on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone effected in this horrific disaster.

The V100 puked in the Costco parking lot. Got the trailer and loaded it up without starting it. I wasn't sure if it was coolant or oil. Just found out from the dealer it was a sump (oil) leak and they have requested warranty replacement parts. Not really sure exactly what parts failed, but I've not heard of this before. (maybe someone did mention it but I missed it?) Anyway, the bike was purchased in Sept 2023 and built in January 2023. It has about 28,000 miles on it. Hope the repair doesn't take too long. They are saying about a week to ship replacement parts if IN THE USA. If they have to come from Mandello, it's probably going to be a month. (or more.) Obviously not common, but am I the only one?

Search and apparently my leak is not only LARGE it appears to be unique. If you delete this, nobody else will see it. But admittedly, after a warranty repair, under way, should have the bike back up in two to eight weeks. If I am the only rider with this issue on this bike, removing it won't hurt anyone, but if this occurs on other's bikes, they might want to be able to see it too. Overall, until this leak, my V100 experience has been very good. I am losing a bit of coolant over time and I lost some during some stop and go traffic in Kansas City on a hot day last summer. (I could smell it) I've ordered a replacement pressure cap. (might not be the problem, but if it is, it's a fairly cheap and easy fix.) Now if you know where there is a thread on this and I couldn't find it, and I did look finding mostly air cooled bikes with problems, please point me to where it is. (this isn't a head gasket leak and spitting up about a cup or more of oil in seconds isn't typical)
