Hi; Has anyone installed a usb port into the dash opening on the mandello. How is it installed and where does it plug in to? Thanks

Im surprised it doesn't have one, hell my V85TT has one.
On my V85 TT I had USB on the dsahboard and I had to install additional USB under the seat, there is just plug and play socket.

With V100 it is exact opposite, there is an USB socket under the seat and plug and play socket on the dashboard. Installation is 5 min work. You can even use the USB socket from under the seat. Why they switched the positions I don't know, but solution is fast, simple and unexpensive...

Installing the factory dash USB is super easy! You buy the part and it is fully plug and play. You unscrew a bolt that holds the little panel on the left side of the dash on, remove the rubber insert and replace with the USB and there is a plug further down that you plug into and that's it! I think it took me 10 minutes because I actually read the directions. LOL!

Thank you for the reply. Where does it actually plug into?

You will see a connector in the lower part of the front cowl that has a cap on it. It is detailed in the instructions and was very easy to find. It is ready to go as soon as you plug in the other end of the USB into it and they go together with one of those weatherproof connectors. Everything needed is included in the kit and super easy to do.

Thank you to everyone for the information on this. Being a cheapskate, I decided to follow Jan's suggestion of relocating the USB connector from under the seat, rather than buy an additional unit.

That was complicated by the fact that I had to remove my Hepco & Becker luggage rack and panier frames, to then remove the tray under the passenger seat in order to disconnect the USB unit. Fitting to the front was easy; just removing the two bolts that retain the left hand panel, in order to access the electrical connector behind.
