I'm seriously considering coming back into the Moto Guzzi family, I sold my last Guzzi, a Stelvio in 2014.
I'm very interested in both the V9 Bobber and the 850 V7. I've had a couple of test rides on the V7 but find the bars a bit too low, does anyone know if 20mm risers will work OK without having to change out cables etc?
I very much like the look of the V9 Bobber but have yet to see one in the flesh let alone ride one. They seem to be a rare beast in the UK, certainly in NW England. The bars on the V9 look to be somewhat higher than the V7 so I'm thinking it may fit me better.

I have a 21’ V7 850. Getting ready to put a Russell Day Long seat on it and looking for risers as well.

I, too, have an '21 850 V7. I purchased risers meant for V7IIIs (up to 2019). They're 1" up and 1" back, in gloss black, and they fit perfectly without any strain on the cables, particularly the clutch cable. Likely a custom cable'd be necessary if more elevation was needed.

Hello; that’s interesting how you were able to add those risers; to give 1 inch up and 1 inch to the rear; as a follow up does it make the comfort for you better and also would you have a make and model number?

Have a look at the Roamer. Bars higher and further back than the Bobber
If you're near Lincoln you're welcome to look at mine, but be quick as I'm about to Bobberise it with a set if drag bars.

Ps cables for Bobbers and Roamers are the same part number

I went the other way fitting the Guzzi sports flatter bar, then added risers, then removed them. Basically there is spare length to add risers without issue.
