V7/9 Fuel Filter Replacement How-To

On my 2019 V7 III Night Pack, I ran the gas to the low fuel warning light came on and then used an USB endoscope (bought on Amazon) to check what type of filter I have and looks like it is an all metal one.
The endoscope could also be helpful to check if the piston is at TDC while checking the valve clearance.

Bingo.

A very useful tool ... and inexpensive for its myriad uses.

Just used one to confirm that Norge's oil weep was from rear main seal.

many times cheaper parts are OE spec + not cheep to buy!! great vid + looks pretty EZE except tank removal not shown thanks for the info

I'm in the process of psyching myself up to change the filter on my 2017 Roamer.
I've read this and have a question.
Are the internal hoses of concern and need replacing.
The job itself doesn't over concern providing I follow the guidance, but I don't want to go back in if I can avoid it.

Cheers

Not unless they are visibly damaged or deteriorating. Most are hidden from weather and sunlight.

👍Done the V9 all good
Wiggle and twist to get it in or out and just as you decide to look at Todd's vid again it will suddenly go
Fuel connector pliers help but not essential. I used the red ones from the cheap and nasty set of 3 you can get from Fleabay
KL145 (and UFI equivalent) are about 5mm bigger than diameter than original where the tie wrap holds it in place so you can't reuse the old one.
All told, maybe 90 minutes as a first time, just keep everything clean and tidy
Thanks for the vid Todd, pointed me the right way 👍

HA...nice vid.
It does not distract me from wanting to bitch slap the designer.
Would it hurt to make the opening just a bit larger?

I did my Roamer without too much drama but I've lost count of the times when working on various vehicles I've thought whoever designed this should be made to work on the bloody thing.
