    Hi! Does anybody know:
    1) will v7iii fuel cap fit v9?
    2) Is it possible to disassemble v7iii's fuel cap and set lock cylinder to fit other MG key?

Well, probably you know that V9 doesnt have fuel cap lock at all...

Yes and yes. Local locksmith should be able to do it (re-key the lockset).

Push down on the center, and it pops up. Push down to click retract.

Aside from the fact that it's prettier than the stock cap, you don't need a key, and all that: In place, it's nearly flush with the top of the tank which means that my magnetic tank bag loses less interior space from being pushed up in the center by the OEM gas cap, and fits the tank more snugly.

    It works very well. :D

Very pleased with the GuzziTech cap in chrome. Works like a champ. Five stars. Love not having to fumble with keys to open cap. IMG_7052.jpeg

I am new to the forum and wanted to revive this thread to see if anyone had fitted an airplane filler cap to a v7?

    Thanks!

I have the GTM pop-up fuel cap. Haven't used it in about a year. It just wasn't making a good seal and I would see droplets of gas around the opening, also I could smell gas when it sat in the garage. Is there a recommended rubber gasket/seal to use with it? It appears that it just isn't sealing enough with the gas cap.

The gas cap is a venting type, through the cap. If you want a sealed cap (not recommended, but can do it), send me an email for an exchange.
