Just got it firing!
I love my Anniversario but to my eye the gauges, headlight and mirrors all protrude too tall on the front of the bike, giving it a top-heavy appearance. So I came up with a simple way to lower the gauges by moving the gauges from the top to the bottom of the triple-tree flange. Two hex bolts ($0.25), two plastic spacers ($0.47) and two nuts ($0.17). Throw in two stainless washers ($0.06) if you are a big spender. You can go with longer bolts and spacers and get them even lower. Solid as a rock.
Separately, I moved the headlight down a little and installed bar-end mirrors. Without the lower gauges none of these mods would have the desired effect. Subtle, but I think it pulls the front end together visually.
