• NOTICE: The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com completely lost his home on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone effected in this horrific disaster.

First thoughts after taking a few rides (finally above freezing here and the salt is washed away).

Bike feels much lighter than other 750s I've been on. Very easy to handle. Very comfortable natural position to sit on. Knees fit really nicely in the tank indents. Fuel injection, easy startup, quiet operation. Still wearing ear plugs under the helmet though.
Really peppy. I haven't gotten past 3rd gear yet, don't need to and I'm by far the fastest on the road.

Still wondering if I'm doing the (dry) clutch right. Sometimes feels a little shaky going from full stop to 1st gear. I've been trying to engage quickly, minimize the friction zone - I think this is the right approach? Clutch seems to engage towards the end of the throw. Not difficult, just different than what I'm used to. Had a few false neutrals, maybe like 3 over a two hour period, might raise the shift lever slightly.

So far only city riding. A lot of stopsign to stopsign or redlight to redlight. Rolling up to stops in 2nd gear. Downshifting to 1st for each stop, putting foot down, then re-engaging clutch. Cruising around 3300 RPM. Motor seems happy at this RPM.

Once the weather is reliably above freezing aim to start commuting to work.

If at a stop leave in gear as that is safer if a car comes up on you. From your description I'm not clear in what you are doing. Be sure to have the clutch cable adjusted correctly, search and you will find the answer.

Looking at the engine & paint job I'd say around 2010 0r 11 V7 Classic. Same motor as Breva.
Take up a bit more play at lever if you can, if not there is an adjustment screw on the arm on back of trans if front of swingarm.

There are a bunch of threads on this subject if you search
