I'm looking to change the Roamer in favour of a V85 possibly and have a couple of questions.
It will likely be a 2023 model

1) Do the V85s suffer from any common faults I should check for

2) I'm challenged on the leg front @ 29" and weigh about 200lb in all my gear
How do people of a similar stature get on with a V85,
Also, how easy is it to lower the height a little

Cheers

1. Make sure dealer serviced. chk oil usage. early builds (like mine) had a ??? issue - heads off+parts done under warrenty. make sure all bolts in place &/or replaced if lost. Otherwise a great mile muncher.full tanks says range = 625km mostly I refill @ 500km takes ~19-20l in a 23l tank. Check oil levels when warm, don't fill past top mark. don't add 'extra' oil in diff. MG changed the spec on diff oil qty.
2. 32" inseam = easy flatfooting with bent knees. doubt will need lower as bike built for short italians. I have 2" rox risers & still bit low when standing.
I bought NOS '21 in early '23. oil changes every 2500kms filter @5000kms. Great bike once bolts tightened checked. I put anti-sieze on all mine from new.
