Just got it firing!
Hi everyone, just saying G’day as a new member.
I am 61 years young and bought my first Guzzis back in the 1980s. V50 Monza and 850 Le Mans Mk II. It was a love hate between great engine, handling and terrible electrics. 40 odd years later I’m remembering only the good times and my new neighbour had several blood red Le Mans Mk Vs in his garage which were pulling on my heart strings. He bought a V85TT and after having a ride on it I was hooked.
I have to say it’s a completely different beast to the 2009 Aprilia Tuono Factory I had for 10 years but after back surgery I needed a comfortable bike for trips away.
Surprisingly it punts along nicely even though it’s a bit underpowered but perhaps that’s a good thing in this overpoliced country of ours.
I have a 2 week trip coming up and that will be the true test for comfort, here’s hoping!
