v85tt Foot Peg, and TFT Dash issues

My TFT dash is coming loose, and I'm going to see if I can tighten it, but it looks like I'll have to take my stock windshield off. If anyone has fixed a similar problem, I would appreciate hearing from you.

My second problem is more bizarre. The left side foot peg is somehow "locked" in it's upright position, and will not fold down. I actually took it apart previously for the same problem, reassembled it, and it worked fine for just a few up/down tries, but I just noticed it once again is locked in this upright position, and will not come down. I can't figure out what could possibly be causing this since the entire assembly is really quite simple using only a spring, a bb bearing, two face plates, and the bolt that holds the peg to the bike.

Thanks to anyone for any advice.
 
Ha...yes that is exactly it. You can take it apart and put it back, and it should work ok...the problem is it will lock again (mine did) If you find out the cause of that let me know. Cheers!!
 
Passenger peg it sounds like? There's a ball bearing, spring and plate with holes. If the bearing gets a burr, it will catch. Remove, clean/deburr, grease and re-assemble.
