Hi All, I was talking to the previous owner of my V85TT and he said he’d removed the snorkels when he had the bike but reinstalled when he sold it. When reading this forum it’s seem there is no real benefit but I’m wondering if the issue I’m having with a pop when I clutch when shifting from 1st to 2nd (and sometimes 2nd to 3rd) at 4k rpms is related? I will say, if I’m gentle on clutching around 3k from 1st I can minimize the likelihood of a pop. It doesn’t seem to happen when shifting in gears above 3rd. Any one heard of benefits of this on a V85?
