Ciao folks, I’m in Philippines and availability of tyres is tricky. I have an off road event in a few weeks and have decided to go for the Mitas Adventure but they only have the 110/90 for the from tyre. Obviously not following OEM sizes is not ideal but does anyone out there know if this a definite NO-GO or is it OK and is there any adjustments I can make if I go ahead (other that caution which will obviously be paramount)?

The second parameter is % side wall of width, so that tire may be a bit taller by 11mm , not much BUT that depends on how much clearance you have.
The other thing is that not all manufacturers sizes are 100% accurate 110/90 may not have a sidewall of that is 90% of the 110 = 91mm ?

Correct, sizes can vary buy as much as 10mm going from one manufacture to another.

Thanks folks, guess it’s a ‘suck it and see’ situation or go per OEMs specs (if tyre companies sizes are accurate)……Starting to see why the subject of tyres seems to be some sort of ‘dark art’…….appreciate your time responding
