• NOTICE: The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com completely lost his home on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone effected in this horrific disaster.

Hey folks, I’m having constant ‘urgent service’ issues with my 88TT (2021 Centenario). Bought it new from showroom In June 24 aware I may have electrical issues with an older showroom bike in the Philippines, humidity etc. Anyway, in the 6 months I’ve owned it, now with 4k km on the clock, I’ve been stranded in ‘limp’ mode on steep hills twice with this alarm, had the throttle replaced due to failure, had new spark plugs put in because the originals ‘parted’, have repeatedly had the valve clearance adjusted - all under warranty. Now, for the third time, on a madly steep hill on a jungle road, back into ‘limp mode’ with no power to go up while mounted and sliding down the hill backwards on my 80/20 off-road tyres with no grip at such an angle, saved by a keen, only able to move the bike up hill while off the bike and pushing, the. When on the highway, a ‘fixed’ 2k revs all the way home with no throttle control……so…….garage is picking up the bike tomorrow and I’ve asked for the 10k service early as well as full diagnostics BUT I’m thinking……the causes always ‘feel’ (I’m no engineer) electronic in nature has anyone tried or is it even possible to go full analogue with this bike? Even if I have to decat it -love the bike so but in its unreliable state with rarely any ‘hint’ of cause failure form my dealer, I’ll have to get rid of it……hoping some industrious folks out there may have headed down this route?

Thanks Scott, good to know - anyway, seems like my dealer here in the Philippines knows less than me about Guzzi’s, bike still in the shop with air/fuel error readings and they don’t know what it means……..after googling, looks like after a valve adjusting this needs to be cleared but the current issue is ‘gasping’ when cold starting…

Your dealer should be able to contact Moto Guzzi with the readings from PADS. If the dealership can't figure it out, the factory folks should be able to.
