Sitting at about 12000mi on my v85tt and I’ve noticed a few areas on the engine where oil tends to seep. Sometimes they stop on they’re own and begin in a new place. Nothing of any major concern yet because they are very slow leaks, but some have become more consistent. Particularly on the left side of the crank case. It seems to be coming from the main case joint/bolts and migrating to the bell housing joint. It’s hard to tell if its also leaking from inside the bell housing, or one of the crank shaft seals inside or not.

It seems like I could make this all go away with a pretty basic anti-leak oil additive. But I’d love some input from people with similar experiences. Any suggestions for oil additive!?

I do not believe in “anti-leak oil additive” snake oil.

The last thing I want in my engine is something designed to plug oil from flowing. How does it differentiate between a fine pore oil gallery and a weeping oil seal? 🤯

Your bike exhibits sign of being outdoors a lot and wet (rust on nuts).

Although your photo doesn’t show anything “wet”. I would use a degreaser and wash your engine well, and then closely monitor to locate the real source of the darkening.
