Hello, again. I'm looking at a 2008 Griso 1100 that's for sale -- I owned a 2007 Griso 1100 for a few years, and seller's remorse has finally motivated me to look for another.

The bike I'm considering has about 15K miles, looks clean in the pics, stock but for a Termi pipe.

I've been away from Guzzis and this forum for a few years, so I want to ask, what problems should I look for that are specific to the Griso 1100?

    Any specific pointers appreciated --

    Thanks,

    Kurt

They are pretty good, you had one. Stepper motor on early CARCs often went bad. Termi pipe may have a cat in it, was factory approved. I'd get it.

Thanks. Most people want the 1200SE from what I've seen, I actually prefer the 1100 -- simpler what with the cast wheels, 2v heads ...

With the age of the bike, unless the swingarm and suspension bearings were greased, plan on replacing those, and the fuel filter is beyond its expiration date. Be sure you get two keys and MOST important is the User Code for the dashboard. Otherwise, from memory, they are super solid machines.
