just a bit fed up with trying to get hold of bits that I see on the net and the companies dont reply to enquiries ?

I ve seen some really great parts on a German site , that i would really like to buy, some exhausts, seat unit etc and would be spending £1500 ish on the parts, maybe more if they get round to replying, but I have written at least twice with requests of parts needed and quotes for engineering work to heads etc and no reply.

I was seriously impressed with the parts available at HT Moto, but whats the point if I cant buy them ?
I thought that specialist manufacturers like this would like the business ?
come on HT Moto whats up ?
Youve got some great stuff I need to make my project bike the nuts !

:(

You're best bet is to let Gordon at MG Cycle shag the parts for you.

That's what I did. I actually got my stuff from them (including the tank) in a pretty good time frame. I don't think anything took longer than 4 weeks.

Doug

Forgotten his name, but the fellow at HT Moto responds to phone calls. English is pretty good. He makes terrific stuff.

Hell, I don't respond to emails.

Ok will try a call, have some time off next week or so so will try and call him then,
he was really helpful when i first contacted him last year and he sent me a cd of some bikes hes put together.

but he just wont respond to e.mails ? wonder why ?

Phone it is then

Most likely his written English is not strong. I speak Norwegian (sort of) and will happily do so, but don't ever ask me to write in Norske!

I'm so envious of the multi-lingual Europeans. I still struggle with the Queen's English.

If you're using an email link on a company web site, it may be that the company never sees it. The address is out there for all the spam fishers and small companies don't have the filtering or manpower to sift through all the crap.

We had an email on our small company website and got roughly 3-5 thousand emails a day...yes, a day. And that was after a spam filter. Maybe one or two were legitimate inquiries. A person could spend hours looking at it and we just didn't have the time. Finally we got rid of the address and went to a contact form.

After my experience, I never use an email link on a website. If there is no contact form, I call.

yes your probably all right, I had forgoten the language differences and its easy to just expect everyone to speak and write as I do.
I dont know if its coincedence or not , but after writing this, I mysteriously had an e mail from the company i had been trying to contact and have placed an order that was worth their while !
But it was easier and quicker to phone in the end. :silly:

I know the proprietor of HTM- Hartmut and he speaks perfect English.

It is not a big business- he works on his own from his rural home outside Aachen so may well have been on holiday like most of mainland Europe. His son races in Germany so he also spends a lot of time away from home going from race to race.

You got there in the end!
