Injectors are easy to remove and send for cleaning. For that bike relatively inexpensive and close to the cost of cleaning. It still had fuel in the tank that didn’t smell too off, I connected the pump and ran it out, flush and refilled. I wanted to check it before throwing money at parts.
I thought I would need a pump and injectors, may have dodged that bullet
Congrats and welcome. I see you found the Small Block Forum... great, hope you'll add your info to our Registry there (linked below too). See you here often!I’m new to the group, I just picked up a 2004 Breva 750 FI that was in a barn for the last 7 years.
The bike has sealed wheel bearings. How can you clean and grease them without destroying the seals?Progress continues at a slow rate on the bike, I changed out the fork’s recently. I found the front wheel bearings were not looking great so I cleaned and greased. I changed all the oils, gearbox looked like a milkshake, bevel actually had water inside. Flushed and refilled.
I also fitted a led headlight and auxiliary light, added balance beads to tires.
Almost ready for riding season.
I got the seals out and did damage one a bit. It’s a temporary fix until I get some new bearings. The bike has sealed wheel bearings. How can you clean and grease them without destroying the seals?
They are a standard bearing. You can get them from a dealer, MG Cycle, or a bearing supply house.I got the seals out and did damage one a bit. It’s a temporary fix until I get some new bearings.
