The 24K service on my V100 is nearly due. Was wondering about the tensioning frequency specified for the alternator belt(180Hz). I already have the belt, so I was able to measure it. The belt weighs 0.045Kg, total length is 0.499m. Didn't measure the actual distance between alternator pully centers, but 0.12m seems a reasonable approximation. Given those figures, and the formula T = (2Lf)^2 * m, 180Hz frequency suggests a tension in excess of 150N. Does that make sense to anyone?
