You may want to look at this thread for some ideas, if you haven't already. I don't know if the flip blades that I installed on my Eldo are still available, but they work well. Only work on bikes with floorboards, though...
I have 40000 + miles on my Eldorado, had no starter issues, so far. If you haven't already, be sure to turn the engine and examine the entire ring gear for wear before putting a new or rebuilt starter on it.
I went with a Steelmate TP-90 kit, bought from Amazon back in 2017, no longer available there, limited availability from other sources. Looks similar to the Fobo 2 sensors. I solved the clearance problem by dismounting the front tire, install the sensor, loosen the nut holding the valve stem...
Keep in mind that your license plate light also is controlled with the headlight switch. Last year, my wiring harness under the rear fender came loose enough to rub the tire. First indicator was a blown fuse for the lights. Fuse replacement fixed it, never happened again. Several months later, a...
I detailed the items and procedure in post #17 of this thread. In case you're not aware, Todd offers a similar setup in his store. I bought mine before I was aware he offered one, and his costs much less.

It is! Very gratifying, though, when it all goes back together, looks the same as before you started, works well, and no leftover bolts (excepting the one that I junked). John L's mechanic doing it in 2 hours should earn him some kind of world record. Smartleynz stated in post #29 that he payed...
I just replaced my belt. John L mentioned in post #15 in this thread that his mechanic did his without removing the cover from the bike. I can confirm this can be done, as that's how I did mine. I didn't use cable ties on the cover, just left it there and managed to fish the belts in and out...
Here's a link to a thread on this site regarding this:

Mine has been trouble free since splicing in a fuse holder that is sealed from water intrusion.
I bought my Eldo as a demo model, pipes were horribly blued. I used a cleaner called Blue Job. You have to use it with a power tool, using it by hand didn't accomplish anything. If you have one of those multi-tools, with a triangular pad for sandpaper, that'll do the trick. Just follow the...
In case you're not aware, the cruise control is designed to disengage when traction loss is detected, part of the traction control system. That's likely what you're experiencing.
I have zero experience with the PC-V setup. However, your symptoms sound similar to what I experienced when the 40 amp fuse, which protects the alternator charging circuit, melted on my bike. I would try fully charging the battery. Using the mode switch, toggle the readout on your speedometer to...
I saw your post about this on the Hanging Throttle post, and noticed you neglected to mention the part about the clutch affecting your problem in that post. The best way to solve this is by going back to when the issue started. Did it appear out of nowhere, or after performing one or all of your...
After it sits a bit. Dipstick doesn't give me a feeling that it's very durable, super tight after initial shut-down, afraid I'll snap it off. I can't recall ever removing it immediately after riding. Several attempts, I just feel safer letting it sit for, say, a half an hour first.
I'm not questioning your knowledge, just think that, in my case, I fill it to the full mark, tube fills with some oil. Engine's low on oil, tube fills up with oil. Never a lot, mind you, but always some. I'm sure some people do overfill them, just absolutely sure I haven't done that. Mine's...
That's the tube from the airbox that everybody talks about. Put a pan under it, pull out the stopper, drain, reinsert stopper. Repeat the next time it catches your attention. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I'm not fully sold on the overfilled crankcase theory. I didn't check my air...
Nice job, looks factory! I had to do something similar with my Eldo. Mounting tab in the back broke, fender would make a loud slapping sound when I hit a bump. You could pull up the fender about 2 or 3 inches. Turns out the broken tab is directly below the tail light housing. I drilled a hole...
Spin balancer, at my local Cycle Gear store. I think the stick-on weights are their only offering. I guess it isn't that much weight when you think about it, but definitely more than what was used on other tires I used. Definitely no vibration, which is my main concern.
One of the employees at...
I don't have a picture, but, after a bit of translating between the service manual and the parts book, it appears to be on top of the compensator (what I would refer to as an intake manifold). If you remove one or both of the stainless shields, and maybe remove the rear fuel tank mounting bolt...
That is a lot of weights! Good thing I can't see them as I roll down the road. A friend of mine commented on them, said another guy uses beads in his tires and swears by them. I'm too much of a traditionalist (so far) to try something like that.
