Every year, Georgia's MGNOC rep, Wayne Orwig, organizes a camp-out, usually at T.W.O., http://www.twowheelsonly.com/, in Suches, north of Dahlonega, at the intersection of Georgia SR's 60 & 180 (Wolf Pen Gap Road), http://www.sundaymorningrides.com/road/5633115/.
This is always a great event, but it surprises me that the attendance is usually low. This year, was especially memorable, and, while I am glad I went, there were moments I envied the wusses who backed out when they watched the weather forecasts earlier in the week!
I'll let some -- OK, yes, many -- pix and captions tell the story: http://preview.tinyurl.com/mmmpgk
That is a "preview" url, i.e., it takes you first to a "visible" site that reveals the underlying Kodak url. Amild PITA, but avoids various internet-security issues.
Thanks, Wayne & Vicky, and the rest of the Guzzisti who attended. None of us is likely to forget this one anytime soon.
And, a special thanks, too, to Riders Hill, the Guzzi dealer in Dahlonega. These folks are friendly and brand supportive. Hosted a free lunch for us and more. Go there when you can; in the meantime, at least go this way: http://www.ridershill.com/
