Just installed a mistral slip on and noticed that it pops quite a bit with or without the DB killers.  Did some research and was pointed towards Todd's Power commander with the O2 opt.

Installed the power commander with the O2 optimizer and took it out for a ride this morning.  Noticed that the popping on decel is still there and had a check engine light appear for a few miles (it disappeared on its own).  Not sure what to make of the whole experience.  The bike "felt" a little smoother on acceleration, but I thought the power commander was supposed to have improved the popping.

Any ideas?

Got it. Emailed Todd. Not sure if it was something I could fix in the mean time

Todd will obviously be the one to help you but know that I have the same setup (pcv/at/flashed ecu) and same outcomes (popping on decel, check engine light). My bike is back in Todd's hands and we're hoping that a couple of ECU tweaks take care of the CEL at the least. I'll be able to report back on the decel popping issue when the bike is returned to me.

Take care,

The 02-optimizer is a bit of a band-aid, and the pop-on-decel cannot be fully resolved with this set up, as the part of the fuel map that handles this is under crude control of the 02-optimizer. If your check engine light is on, the 02-optimizer settings are a bit too rich then, always best to just contact me direct.
Obie's bike has the CEL because the stock input has been deleted from the ECU, but there are two circuits that feed the sensor (02 and heater), and the heater signal is proving to be a bit of a bear to find in the map coding.

Obie, your bike has *very minimal* pop on decel, you should hear it without my map fix.
