2012 V7 Racer stuck in 2nd gear

Since it was working OK before the sudden failure, the clearances should be within reason as long as you keep all the little pieces and shims in their correct positions. In addition to item 8, look carefully at item 11 and its associated parts. Item 11 keeps the shaft (item 1) from turning except when shifting gears. If item 11 is jammed, it could prevent the selector pawl from rotating the shaft.
