What you say is true, but he isn't saying to put anti seize on every fastener. Some such as spark plugs, stainless screws into cast aluminum/alloy, exhaust nuts, then yes, use anti seize. Experienced mechanics know to use wrench art for these and not a torque wrench.I know this thread has been dead for a very long time but:
When you use antiseize, your torque values change a LOT. Most books
give torque specs for dry bolts, some give specs for wet and dry. Typically,
depending on the size and thread, a wet bolt will reduce the tightening
torque 30%-50%. That's enough of a change to strip threads out of a hole
if you don't know.
