i got this to hide the bubbles in the nylon tank. fitment is ok, not great. color is pretty close. i can’t find any of the original bagster tank bags that use the clips on the tank cover.
ebay has them. i had to look overseas to get the two tone brown. got it here:

i’m going to try and put either mink oil or mineral oil in the stitching so i can stretch it a bit so the moto guzzi insignia lines up properly. the straps work so/so. no directions either

I think she looks awesome and with the heat and it now being stretched over the tank, it will slowly conform more and more over time to the contours of the tank.

Very Nice!

thanx scott, bike is almost ready. i did the flash tool/remap. y pipe/gpr slip on, 02 sensor delete, sprint air filter, ngk iridium’s 15 w fork oil change. i finished valves yesterday and worked on tank cover. i have a carbmate coming to do the synch. this is easier to work on compared to concours

If you haven’t already, put her up on the center stand and check the bolts that hold the center stand to the frame.

If it is loose, remove the bolt only from 1 side, apply some medium (blue) loctite drops to the threads and retighten but not overly tight. Then do the other side the same.

The thread locker will prevent the bolt from backing out and the side stand trying to self-jettison from the motorcycle like mine tried to do. By not over tightening the bolt, the stand will move freely up and down.

The hardware holding the center stand together and especially the double springs and cover are $$$ as sin!

if anybody knows where i can get a bagster tank bag that will fit these clips. let me know. nothing in usa, all in europe. one model was the xsr-300 by bagster.

As this is something that I’m fairly sure GTM does not sell, I would send an email to MG Cycle. If Steine-Dinse in Europe Carrie’s it, them MG Cycle in the USA can get it in their shipments from Stein-Dinse to the USA.

It will most likely be Special Order and no returns.

i removed it. it sits too low for my taste

That is worth $$$. Hang onto it and keep all the pieces because it may be no longer available or supplies will be dwindling to none soon, as far as I know, and you can sell that very easily and very quickly most likely.

well the bagster tank bag made it. very fast shipping. I was given no track info, just a confirm that I purchased it.
fits like a like glove!
