Lodged in Villa La Angostura. Riding early to Villa San Martin in 5 deg C weather took a toll and I had to stop to warm up a bit in the sun. Typical forest cover for the area.

As we neared the Chapelco ski resort, snow began to show up in the landscape.

At Chapelco ski resort. A late snowstorm 9 days ago managed to keep the skiing going into spring this year. Nice to be here with few people, probably at 20% capacity

Took a dirt road along rio Hermoso. Saw many people fishing along the way.

Road blocked due to the snowstorm from 9 days back. We decided to chance it and keep going. Barrier wasn’t locked.

Good thing we kept going. The scenery was beautiful as we neared Paso Cordova. Reminded me of old western cowboy movies…probably due to the rocky outcrops and semiarid environment.

This was the only snowed in road patch we had to go through. It was about 20 mts in length, so nothing we couldn’t get through with some care and effort.

Things got greener as we came down after the high point, Paso Cordova.
Overall, an excellent bike day!
