I've been working on getting my 2006 Breva 1100 in good running condition, largely with remote help from scottmastrocinque. I was able to get some other ECU and dashboard errors cleared, but the only one that remains is an ECU code 13. Looking in the service manual shows the following:
As you can see, code 13 is missing. I already checked out GTM's thread on all codes, and even there it's basically a guess that it's related to a temperature sensor. I've already replaced the engine temperature sensor, I know the dashboard air temp sensor is good because the ambient temp in the dashboard LCD is correct. Only temperature sensor left is the airbox temp sensor. What makes me believe these aren't really the issue is each of these sensors have their own specific codes which my bike isn't showing any errors for. Bike runs fine and doesn't exhibit any issues so whatever sensor the ECU believes has failed, is being substituted with a default value.
I have tried doing the 1-hour ground reset. If I clear the code, it comes back immediately upon re-checking the codes without doing a key cycle. I've also done the service reset in the diagnostic menu, the service light remains.
Has anyone successfully troubleshot an ECU code 13? I'd bring the bike to the dealer so it can be connected to a Socio-300, but there aren't any MG service dealers in my area.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
