Cal1400 REGISTRY & Pics thread - ADD YOUR BIKE

Hi, MGX-21 owner here. ZGULCUA03HM000277 purchased in Vega$ OCT 2019 I currently roam in West and South Texas.
Congrats, welcome and thanks for posting the info and pic. Hope to see you here often. Cheers/enjoy!

New to me 2014 California 1400 Touring.
VIN # ZGULVC00XEM112074.

Purchased from a HD dealer in Santa Cruz, California sight unseen back in January 2020, and had it shipped back here to my local dealer the NYC area. Bike complete the journey March 9, which is when the COVID craziness hit. DMV's closed shop, then I got COVID, and topped a banner year off by tearing my ACL. Long recovery period ensued, and the DMV here in NY just recently started doing business again, so I had the bike pulled from warm storage and had it delivered this morning.

Totally impressed with the entire package. Bike was previously owned by a celebrity chef person in Beverly Hills, only 2400 miles on the clock. Everything works, looks brand new.

Had my eye on this species since they first came out. Cross another item off of the bucket list.

Congrats and welcome to the Guzzi Famiglia and GT Forum. Really appreciate your post here with VIN#. If you can share the previous owner's name privately, I'd love to have it as I'm sensitive to celebrities here in SoCal. You should run it by Billy Joel's place.
Anyway, read up in this section to save yourself some headaches if you plan on putting miles on it. I can make them run, turn and stop incredibly well with my offerings on the STORE tab linked above.
Hope to see you here posting often. Enjoy and hope you can stay healthy!

Finally getting around to posting this...

My second Guzzi! (I couldn't resist.)

2018 Eldorado
VIN ZGULCUB18JM000014
Date of Purchase: 3/19/21 (Las Vegas)View attachment 21761

I think I saw you riding this beauty out at Lake Mead North Shore Rd. I was on a Audace riding in opposite direction and turned around to catch up with you but you kept on going.

A 2014 Moto Guzzi California Touring (ZGULVC009EM200033) was purchased in April at: Kissell Motorsports in Tyrone, PA.
I have been contemplating this bike since its inception but only had “room”for one bike, so I sold my 2016 BMW R1200R premium last year and casted my line for the Guzzi. Although I enjoyed the Beamer and its sporty and modern amenities…. I longed for the more classic, capable, cruiser style that the California exudes.
At this point I am looking at customizing her to me and exploring her full potential by shopping at Todd’s store. I am new to Guzzis, so I will probably need and appreciate some help along the way. My California came with Mistral cans installed (which sound nice to my unbiased ears), a black 50L top box and what appears to be the short windscreen.
As alluded to above, I would like to:
—address the fueling issues,
—locate a tall windscreen,
—and if I can raid the piggy bank…. a full exhaust (to rid myself of the faulty H-pipe). Thank you and see you on the road.

Congrats and welcome aboard Moises! BMW dealer arrogance is a hard one to swallow, and so far from the adventurous spirit of a core motorcyclist IMO. Guzzi on the other hand is at the opposite of the spectrum, so as you've seen and read, learn to dig in yourself, and you'll be well rewarded with a machine that ticks every box for you. They are amazing road bikes no doubt. Happy to be of help, and hope to see you here and one the road often! Saluti.

Yep - that's the short windscreen. I have one on my Audace. Good luck sourcing a (Guzzi) windscreen, I think the last one on the planet just sold to someone on the site, although you might get lucky with a second hand one.

The windshield mount you have is the lower one.Only two windscreens that will fit that mount-the one you have installed and a medium if you could ever find one.Larger windscreens from Guzzi need the Tall brackets which have been discontinued also.I have the same screen setup on my Eldorado as yours after trying for six months to get a tall one.Had to order though the Nederlands and got the last lower bracket and the last small windscreen AF1 racing had.So far I don't mind the smaller one but this winter will send my small screen to Clearview to have them mock up a taller and wider screen to fit the lower hardware.Nice looking Cali you have there looks like it rolled off the showroom floor.

Thank you for all your comments and info. I know I am in good company. Yes, my Cali is in great condition. I purchased it with 5600miles and Guzzi dealer maintenance records. Thanks for the windscreen info and I am aware of the rarity of the screens. I am interested in your Clearview project Edgeman55. Let me know how that goes.

Just purchased my first Moto Guzzi, a 2017 California Touring today, with 750 miles on it. All original, with no modifications or added accessories except the passenger backrest.
Congrats and welcome to the Famiglia and GT Forum. Hope you'll add the VIN# and related for the first post of this thread, otherwise hope to see you here often!

Below is an on-going database of all 1400s worldwide. Why? Just for the fun of it. If your bike isn't listed below, post a reply to this thread, and I'll add you along with a link to your post with a picture (hopefully of you and your bike, as they all look the same otherwise). If you've sold your bike, or bought one recently or are the new owner of one below, please post.

Hello MG world. Joined a guzzitech a few days ago, but now have the '14 Cali Custom home. Fits me great and rode flawlessly for the 65 mile ride home. My first MG, but I've had multiple versions of the vintage Honda twisted twin. Most of my bikes are neglected projects that need resurrection. For the MG I hope the wrenching is limited to normal maintenance (oil changes, brake fluid, tires, etc.)

Valve train on my Cali is a little noisy beyond tappet noise I hear on other bikes, but I guess that's par for the MG course. Currently has the touring seat, but I have the normal seat along with luggage racks, back rest, windscreen, and top case. One of the previous owners bought a bunch of touring accessories (no side bags) and never used them. The top case has never been mounted.

The baffles from the Agostini pipes were removed and lost. If anyone has a set they no longer want, i'd be happy to buy them.

Details
2014 California Custom with 3052 miles on it at purchase.

Hello all
Here is my 2014 Cali with 8100 miles on the speedo.( vin#ZGULVC002EM200102 )
I bought it last Monday and drove it home from the sellers house ( 50 miles ) to which it broke down on the side of the interstate ( 40amp fuse kept blowing ) and I managed to tip it over while sitting on side of interstate ( no damage ) and then got monsooned on less than 5 miles from home! Other then that, so far I really like the bike ;)

Had it about a year now . Bought site-unseen from Gateway Cycles, Kentucky - It had some ~ 300 miles on it.
Sold my 1990 Mille GT to fund the purchase ( sold via a GuzziTech For Sale posting)
Congrats and thanks for posting Brian. Upload the pics via our server per; https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/picture-uploads-gt-storage.17093/ -- or send to me direct email; info @guzzitech.com
Also fantastic on selling your Mille via the Classifieds here(!). Enjoy the 1400, and hope to see you here posting often. The fuel kit delivers an impressive gain and much cooler running, even on a bone stock bike.

Attached is a side and rear view and also bonus pic of my (soon to be) parents bike when they 1st meet in College ( Alfred, NY ) ( and Indian? or a Harley? .. I thinks this was their late 40's Indian ) The Dalmatian "Cubby" in the pic was super smart and it always loved to ride with them ..I was told sitting on Moms lap (. .. kinda tight on space )

I've posted info in a GuzziTech article re: DIY AdWare velocity sensing brake lights and turn signals
that I added to my rear top bag and also another posting re: a custom seat I created to give me some more room to stretch
as the Eldo was to low and wide for me stock. I've updated the rear shocks to Matris and about to do the same on the front.
One day I will get Todd's fuel system as soon as soon as I can swing it. ..
I'm more interested in running cooler than ramping up the performance.

Stay upright an no sudden stops!
Cheers, Brian

Morning from an Island in the River Thames, Essex, England.
just bought my first Guzzi and registered on the site.
I have Cagiva(s) and Bimota(s) all with Ducati engines but this is the first V twin 'that way round' and with shaft drive
Very impressed with build quality and substance....jeez... its heavy...but I has a LOT of presence.
2017 model 1400 California SE Nero Gentleman version.....but already changed stuff ie....no passenger backrest and a shorter windscreen (150mm) and OEM side luggage pack........less than 2300 miles on the clock, bought from a Guzzi fan with FIVE other Guzzi's!

Numbers : ZGULCBOOXHM 000069.

I have read with interest the 'Air pod air box elimator' thread/story and after changing the air filter...I may keep this in mind!

thanks

Gavin
