Hello All! Proud owner of a 2014 California Custom after 10 very happy years on a V7 Classic (still in the stable). Was hoping to build out the Custom for a once in a while touring bike and, to my dismay, I've found locating a suitable aftermarket windscreen appears to be challenging... In addition, I'm curious if anyone has been able to add higher "ape hanger" style bars to a California? Nothing crazy tall, just to give a bit more space. Akin to what is on a Heritage Softail for example. Obviously this would require longer cables and proper mounting points and ultimately would probably be way more trouble than its worth but I am curious just the same. Any recommendations on an aftermarket windshield suitable for touring? Bike currently has the MG "fly screen" which I can't image the bracket being stable enough to hold a taller shield. Thanks!

Thanks for posting. Hope you'll add your info to the Registries below on each.
Per the paragraphs at the top of the page, please do a search and read a little. You'll find most of your answers. If you struggle once you spend a little time, post again. If LA is Los Angeles, happy to be of help at my shop in Orange. Saluti.

Hi. I have not used these guys but they seem legit. Not sure if it is okay to share a link so just Google search it. I know they make acrylic windshields for the 2014 Cal Tourer.

why not try a Puig deflector...

Works like a charm on my 2013 Touring. You can fiddle with angle and height to get the best performance. It's not just the heigth, changing the angle in respect of the original windscreen provides a laminar airstream on and above your head.

oh, and its relative cheap without the need of destroying your windscreen.
