Dancing speedo needle at low speed

Hmm. I've been flushing it with circuit board cleaner, but i never soaked it. What about the drive gear? I've smeared that with anti-seize, but i'm tempted to use bearing grease on that, too. But, i'm reluctant to use petrol (i hate the smell & my landlady's paranoid about flammable liquids). Is it just to clean it? The circuit board cleaner seemed to work wonders...
Yeah, any good degreaser will do. I said petrol because it's cheap and always available if you have a bike.

Well, the needle is twitching once more, so i ordered a new cable - along with an oilskin. Heck, i spent more on the lubes anyway (in my defense, i thought there was a problem with the gears as well). The sheath isn't crash hot, either. Interestingly, nobody appeared concerned that the cable was bent.....

Anyways, this will probably be my last post - thanks to mr Webmaster's strict cookie policy conflicting with my love of privacy (tracking is a big no-no), & me being a control freak about data. I trust long dormant accounts get deleted....
In any case, so long, nice knowing y'all
