We went to Death Valley last weekend, and it was stunning. There was a lot of wind and it was too early for the full-on wildflower bloom, but there is so much interesting stuff to see... David rode 26-mile long dirt/rocky/steep switchbacky/deep gravelly Titus Canyon Rd. I chickened out and went to Rhyolite instead. D said that was the smartest thing I've done in a long time... he said it was pretty gnarly.

Love Death Valley, been there many times, though too ling since the last time. Dante's View in the morning is certainly among my favorite viewpoints anywhere. I would never, never go all the way down Titus Canyon on anything less than a 4wd vehicle-or a dirt bike if I had those capabilities.
