Dirt Rides

Oddly, the twistys feels much faster on the XR at 100km/h that the V7 :p
That last bit of the 366 is only a couple km more and a bit more gravel.

Most likely the tires & suspension. When I farmed in IL I was on a gravel rd. I road down 5 mi on the paved rd to where my buddy & cousin on both sides of family was plowing. I road out to the tractor on plowed ground bout a 1/4 mile. What fun. He hopped on & went out for a ride while I continued to plow for him. He came back out & said the bike shifted hard. Didn't use the clutch, no wonder. Didn't use it on his Duc either. Try that on a LM3 w/clip-ons.

No thank you Sir :p

The V7 certainly doesn’t feel the same on the gravel, and I can only imagine how much more exiting it would be on a cafe style bike.
I was talking about each bikes feel on the paved parts connecting the gravel sections, indeed the suspension, rider height and position all contributed to the differences.

I picked up the book Mr. Scott recommended and that provided the math on how things ( suspension / bike geometry) work and effects they have on the bike, but all those numbers can’t tell you how it « Feels » and boy do they feel different, but all great !!!

I think it should be a Law that you have two bikes so you can experience the difference , day to day

Nice !
I am No Weather man ( Person) we’re getting to mid-November so there is still a chance, ( I’ve been out on the 11th) but there can’t be many days left
