Engine Guards aka Crash Bars

I was practicing Figure 8s on my Touring... I dropped it once and the engine guards did not help. The head cover on the left got scratched...rest of the bike was just fine.

Can you get crash bars like that somewhere? Because I can't find them anywhere.

Apparently they don't know this since they write that they don't have them for AUDACE and for other versions they are available only in chrome and not black.

But there are probably some differences since there are two different types of crash bars in Hepco for ELDORADO and CUSTOM/TOURING

Has any one tried mounting highway pegs to the engine guards? I have very long legs and this would be the only reason I would install the guards unless I come up with a fold down telescopic version that mounts right to the block. Seems like the heads might be in the way..

And they came, I searched for a long time and also from Italy, the ISOTTA brand, which did not fit my AUDACE.I managed to find a company that has specialized in making crash bars, luggage racks, backrests and other wonders for 20 years, which undertook to make the crash bars on my motorcycle personally. Here, everything fits perfectly without any strings attached. The COLOR of my black matt, of course you can order black gloss or chrome. The quality of workmanship and materials is perfect, it is not done just for the sake of it, but the workmanship is very nice, which can be seen from the welds and the thickness of the materials used. The tube is 32mm in diameter. The set includes everything needed for installation, including screws and sleeves. They look as you see, judge for yourself :) Everything fits perfectly, no need to tighten anything etc.

I found a company that undertook to make them on my motorcycle, by the way they now have them in their offer. I hope they will fulfill the role in case of a tip-over, e.g. in a parking lot. They are solid and well made :-)

You may want to look at this thread for some ideas, if you haven't already. I don't know if the flip blades that I installed on my Eldo are still available, but they work well. Only work on bikes with floorboards, though.
