I am changing out a faulty oil pressure sensor in my 2006 1200 Sport 2V . I believe they are normally closed and switch open when pressurised.
I got a new item to fit with an adapter, to replace the faulty item, supplied by Guzzi but it won't fit because the alternator mounting stud and bolt are in the way.
Are there any equivalent sensors out there (normally closed configuration) off another vehicle that I could fit without an adapter??? Perhaps a 90 degree adaper??

Yes, you can get an old style w/single post that takes a small bullet connector then make a pigtail connector & tape it up. Works good and sensor will last long time. Should have done a search here instead of buying their crap that doesn't work. The Aprillia sensor on an adapter only works on a Cali 2V, the rest have an alt bolt in the way, and you trust those engineers.

I managed to mount the sender w/adaptor on my Breva 11. It was a very tight fit, but possible, bending the spade away from the alternator bolt/nut. When the new M12 sender came available, I ordered 2. They are waiting for the failure of said combo, plus a spare for the future. Pretty easy xchange without the adaptor.
The original "mushroom head" connector on the sender, used a female spade connector "sideways". This spade connector works perfect with the new replacements, after a little crimping for a tight fit.
