No better way to decompress today, after 24 hours in the San Fernando Valley, than bombing thru Ojai on the RC, hitting 33 and checking out Lockwood Valley, on the way home to Visalia. 33 was great as usual (the temp felt almost balmy today??), just some infrequent and minor debris on it. And I was surprised that Lockwood wasn't dirtier, though it certainly wasn't clean. kinda sandy here and there, but not nearly as bad as I expected. It was a great ride, and the RC was a joy, as usual....
I think this was along Bardsdale or South Mountain Rd before Ojai (I learned about that route from Safety Bob - didn't even get lost today, Bob!!)
33....
near Pine Mtn Summit -
riding thru Reyes Creek on Lockwood -
looking back on Reyes -
more dips on Lockwood -
going north on I-5 after Frazier Park -
seeing the Central Valley shrouded in haze, but you could see the Sierras off to the east clear as a bell above the haze. It was quite a sight in person.....
