Factory recalls or Software updates?

Any news on Factory Recalls or Sofware Upgrades?

Obviously any new model will invariably have glitches ( some more than others) so I am wondering if anyone at Mandello reads these posts and have any plans for rectifying the issues raised on here?

To be fair, whilst annoying, they aren’t unsolvable

My display shows:
Software version 105
Bootloader 100
HLU application 7
Are there any updates?

My bike was just updated at the dealer this week. The dash says: software 105, boot loader 100, HLU application 7.

I got the software updated as I was having issues with my TPMS reading tire pressure after I first started the bike - I could ride for hours and the light would stay on with no readings. But if I ‘rebooted’ the system by turning the key on and off again, then the TPMS would start working. The software upgrade fixed the issue (I didn’t look at the versions before I went to the dealer, so I am not sure which specifically got updated).

I just had first service done, and can confirm that other than checking fastener tightness all around, the most significant thing they did was multiple firmware updates. Did my own oil change after I got home as the dealer had no oil filters from Guzzi yet (!)

OH, and valves do NOT get checked on first service, so don't worry about taking the bike in hot. I didn't notice the new change in the manual after doing my own service on my many Guzzis over 20+ years, and so dropped the bike off at the dealer the day before so as to be dead cold for "valve clearance check." DOH!!!

So, I was at a RTE lunch with some buddies yesterday. After some leisurely food and conversation, we saddled up and went our separate ways. I came to the red light by the restaurant, and noticed a red highlighted “Alarm Service” message at the bottom of the display. From the manual:

1694815103843
1694815126262

The bike was running fine, but since I was literally a couple miles from Cadre Cycles (my MG dealer here in Cincinnati), I stopped in to show the message to them (figuring, if I shut off the engine, the alarm may well not be there when I restarted). Joe hooked up the Pads interface, and said there is an update available, so he ran it. Also, double checked battery terminals and ground terminal on the engine block. A few mins later, fired it up, and no error - (again, there may not have been another error anyway). Great service! I’ll be keeping any eye on things while riding over the next few days. Have an over-nighter planned for next week, and don’t want any surprises.

⭐️ One thing that I noticed while running the updates - the turn signals all blinked at once, which made me wonder why they can’t tap into that programming logic to enable some emergency flashers for us?!😂… seems very doable, mechanically and electronically! Maybe in a future tweak! 🙏

Despite running the update, my firmware is still at 105. Maybe it’s a placebo effect, but the bike seems to run a bit smoother with more linear power delivery. Also, for those putting on larger windscreens, this is the “Service” screen where you specify that you have a “big” windshield.
