At about 6000 RPM and letting the bike slow down or even at a stand still sometimes and reving the engine I get a Rattle noise sounding like it's coming from the exhaust. I tried tighting the bolts that hold the exhaust and it seemed to go away for a one ride and then it came back. It's pretty annoying. Do any of you other Stelvio owners experience this noise?

Hi Gigio,

I've only just finished running in so haven't been up above 6000 rpm that often but sofar no noises, rattles etc. Have you tried tightning the bolts when the exhaust is hot (without burning yourself). The fact that tightening the bolts seems to take the noise away suggests its nothing serious

If its still rattling then it sounds like the perfect excuse to buy an aftermarket exhaust (see other thread) ...;)

6000 is nothing. The thing is just waking up at that speed. Im at 8000's house many times and dont hear nuttin clankin.

Hi gang
I would say: so long as it not the new cams rattling, ignor it:)

Plugs in, visor down and catch me if you can:laugh:

Loftyjohn

ps. I'm in Staffs and still waiting to find out how quiet the new cam set will be:(

I wouldn't be worried, normally when there is a rattle, the piece is still attached to the bike.
But when the rattle stops suddenly during the ride, you have to stop, because that means something fell of the bike and you have to pick it up! ;)

My Guzzi lives: it smokes, drinks and shakes.....

"If the rattle stops somthing has fallen off " I like it thats the funnyest thing i have read for a while. Oh the fun of running Moto Guzzi's would not have it any other way.

Radders
