Has anyone removed these labels?
I'd like to but wondering if their adhesive has permanently marked the plastic.
Don't want it to look worse...
Thanks!

Good question. From a V100 right?

Mind were removed. No issue.

I think that given the type of plastic that those covers are, you will be ok with a hair dryer to gently heat the sticker up to remove by fingernail and then wipe soft cloth with isopropyl alcohol to remove any remaining residue.

Perhaps a regulatory thing? I didn’t have the stickers either (US). What Scott suggested - and, maybe peel real slowly. Good luck!

I just leave my tank bag on the bike so don't really see the stickers ;-)

A lot of guys have used WD40 as have I. It works pretty well just takes a little rubbing and patience. A bit of heat from a heat gun helps.

Oh please…..please…please….🙏🙏🙏

NEVER use a heat gun for this. Even on the lowest setting it is sufficient enough heat to destroy plastic texturing and paint as well.

Just use a normal household HAIR DRYER. The lowest setting provides plenty of heat to soften those labels. Nothing more is needed.

So many guys brought in bikes to my workshop that had heat gun damages. It was sickening to look at as most were brand new bikes. 😩

got them off with alcohol and wd-40. One peeled right off with almost no residue. Second peeled off with difficulty leaving a bunch of residue that came off with WD. 3rd one came off in little tiny pieces for about 30% of it, and finally the rest peeled off in one piece.

This. Took the advice: hair dryer on low, expired credit to gently scrape… and work slowly. Works.

Heat guns have lower settings. Only use it to warm it a bit, not cook it. I guess I am used to heat guns, I worked in a radial engine overhaul shop for a couple of years. We used heat guns extensively.

Most heat commercial home quality heat guns are 500 degrees on the low setting and upwards of 1000+ degrees in high.

For most people, the risk is very real indeed and way too easy to cause massive damage.

I used my wifes hair dryer at lowest heat setting. Took it slow and easy and label peeled off without too much fuss. I used Chemical Bros Matt Cleaner/Shine product afterwards and you can hardly see the sticker outline.

The dealer asked me when I bought if I wanted the sticker removed (I did) and took it off for me lol.
