Just a little concerned.....
So far it happen to me twice ..........my 09 Stelvio I noticed a clunking noise coming from the gearbox when it’s cold.
Well I say when cold ….. I should say when the bike is parked on its side stand for over 2 days.
The symptoms are felt and heard only when the gear is engaged and the clutch is at its friction point (revving at idle) and slowly moving forward.
When working with the clutch lever the clunk noise is heard at the same frequency as engaging/ disengaging the clutch.
After having taken the bike for a couple of miles and reassessing the problem …… its gone.
I leave it parked on the side stand for a couple of hours / less than a day ….. doesn’t do it!!!
I’m going for a long shot here!
The bike is tilted on the side and having sat there for a while the gear oil in the cage has shifted…..and because of this its taking a little time to lubricate the gear shafts properly?
I do use the recommended gear oil AGIP API GL5 MG/S 85w-90
Has anyone hear of a similar problem?
Thanks
