There might be some interest in this. I recently modified my V9 Bobber seat to make it more comfortable on longer rides and rougher roads.

I used a 25cm x 25cm x 2cm sheet of gel.
A heavy duty staple gun.
Masking tape
And patience.

The end result is a no affect on the seat profile and a more comfortable ride. The gel is design to absorb small shocks and vibrations as well as being softer. I retained the sides to ensure a good shape afterwards. Using masking tape to copy the shape ensured the curved profile remained correct. The masking tape was then transferred to the gel sheet for cutting out.

It's not a difficult job and many examples on YouTube.

I did the same on my V7 III and went from 2 hours of riding comfort, to 8 hours comfort. Money very, very well spent.
Nice pictures. And I agree, an easy and satisfying process.
