Cruisin' Guzzisti
A buddy and I took off from Tehachapi this morning and headed west. We took CA Hwy 58 West, lots of curves and in really good shape, and ended up at the Firestone Walker Brewery in Paso Robles for lunch. Good burger, fries, and a couple tasty brews. Bought some more to take home. Took 46 back to the 5 and then rode 223 through Arvin back to Tehachapi. My first long ride since my crash three years ago. The leg healed OK but every time I rode more than 20 minutes I would get a stabbing pain in my right shoulder that would take hours to subside. I thought my riding, other than commuting to work, was over. Today, no pain, just soreness from riding all day. Also. it was my first long term test of my new 7/33 rear drive as opposed to the 8/33. Much better in the mountains and the bike was able to stay in the high rev range that makes life fun. Life is good.
