Hi; those look Nice ; did you ever check into Minstrel brand; watched YouTube reviews they look and sound nice also; just bought 2021 V7 special; Iāll have time to think about it seeing Iām in New England and it isnāt quite riding whether yetHi all,
Had the GP Megs on for a little while now so about time I comment . When I look back at pics of my bike when I first got it compared to now, the original mufflers now just look so out of place. Can now walk around the bike in my shed when pottering without bashing into the mufflers that used to just stick out, they were massive! When swapping them out I couldn't believe the weight difference! The GP Megs suit the bike so much more. Plus they look so different to a lot of the other offerings by others for this bike, which all look very similar to each other. These GP Megs stand out, I think just look that much cooler when compared to those others. ... After getting the bike back after the first service, the service department manager mentioned the boys in the shop approved
Now the sound. I love the thumping idle. Makes me think of a hard rock drummer really giving his skins a good bashing. Love it. I also love the sound when decelerating at speed, not sure how to describe it, just that nice deep twin sound. And obviously there's an appropriate aggressive growl on throttle openings!!
These are probably the loudest pipes I've owned, so my initial thought was maybe a tad too loud. Having said that however, I thought my last bike wasn't loud enough! Now though, on the bike, hearing that thumping idle coupled with that Guzzi engine vibes at idle, can't help but think to myself "this is cool". The sounds suits the bike. It sounds like it should.
Here are some pics, hopefully give a good view from multiple angles...For more pics check out the newer ones in my flickr album:

Still on stock fueling...Have just ordered the ECU reflasher tool, just waiting for restocking before I can get my hands on it. In the meantime, I know there is a dyno graph on this site for V7 III with GP Megs and stock fueling, but are there any with GP Megs and after ECU remapping?
Cheers!

So let me help you a bit. Itās Mistral, and the topic of this thread is on the hand-built custom mufflers and exhaust systems we (GTM) make, with a lifetime guarantee. You will see if you spend enough time reading here, that I am not a fan of Mistral for fitment and longevity issues if you actually put miles on your bike. I got into building exhaust when I tired of repairing and replacing all of the name brands. Additionally, and per the paragraphs at the top of each page, the STORE link above products helps support this site. While we can sell Mistral, we choose not too. You can see what we carry on the Store link at the top of the screen.Hi; those look Nice ; did you ever check into Minstrel brand; watched YouTube reviews they look and sound nice also; just bought 2021 V7 special; Iāll have time to think about it seeing Iām in New England and it isnāt quite riding whether yet
Hey!! I ended up going with the GTM 2>1 UB and ecu remap. Need to find some materials that will make it easier to install.auzza,
You are struggling against the truth so Iām going to try and help you here.
1. There is NO CHEAP SOLUTION to alternative exhausts on a modern Moto Guzzi motorcycle. Quality components cost money. Period.
2. You cannot change exhausts without modification to the fueling map on the fuel injection system. The motorcycle will never run correctly and you will have backfires and flat spots and hesitation locations in the throttle control. This is because you have changed the flow characteristics of the exhaust pulses.
3. You cannot modify the fuel injection map without very very expensive equipment and a dynometer. Think ātens of times the costsā of an exhaust system setup here on GTM. It takes SERIOUS coin to have this capability.
4. All of GTMās exhaust solutions explain the need for fueling modification on the SHOP pages where they are listed. Todd is not trying to bump the price. Heās being absolutely truthful and honest. There is no short-cut. It is what it is, and if you want it to sound and run correctly, you need both parts of the equation: exhaust and fueling modifications.
5. IF YOU ARE UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO SPEND THE NECESSARY $$$ TO DO THIS MODIFICATION CORRECTLY, DONāT! YOU WILL REGRET IT, I ABSOLUTELY PROMISE YOU.
JUST LEAVE IT BONE STOCK UNTIL YOU CAN INVEST IN A COMPETENT AND PROVEN SOLUTION.
YOU CANNOT JUST BUY A SLIP ON CANISTER, SWAP IT OUT, AND GO.
IT WILL NOT WORK AS EXPECTED!
BALANCING EXHAUST AND FUELING IS AN ARTFORM THAT TAKES TIME, MONEY, AND PATIENCE TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT CORRECTLY. THATāS WHY THEY CALL IT āTUNINGā.
When you buy a complete solution like the GTM offering, you are paying for what you get! Plain and simple.
It's not difficult. There should be instructions with it. If you get bogged down, come back and pot a question. We'll help you. You are going to be very happy with your results. I sure do love my setup on my 2012 Stelvio NTX!
It reminded me of a sewing machine, beforeI remember test driving a V7 Special recently, not real impressed with the sound! We can thank the tree huggers and EPA for saving the world from the existential threat to global warming by stifling an engine...
They sound amazing when truly uncorked. I'm running stubbys and its deafening but the sound is refined.I remember test driving a V7 Special recently, not real impressed with the sound! Thank you so much for the great links, my Guzzi is a 2018 V7111 and I think I will go with the Agostini upswept units, they sound terrific, I apologize for the V7111 title and V711 in the message, my bike is the last of the 750's and has nearly done 1000 k's , I got off a Yamaha MT-01 which was just a target for every P plater you meet because the ol MT was not the most agile battleship, thanks again everyone for your time and messages, it is really appreciated, love this forum, everyone is out to help....There is an Excelent selection of Great sounding pipes on Site -
But not everyone is looking for the same sound - there are a variety - some pictures and sounds here -
GTM V7 III Exhaust options & Dyno runs
Looking at your site Todd I can't see any header pipes/full systems for the V9's. Are the headers the same for V7iii and V9? I've converted my V9 into a v7 like you did including changing the the frame rails. I'm also running Agostini hydroformed slip ons from my older v7i on it but it looks...www.guzzitech.com
For anyone else looking for these, Iāve had a set in stock since early 2019; https://gtmotocycles.com/products/leo-vince-v7-iii-mufflersMy V7III Stone wears a pair of Leo Vince cans. They are a little louder than stock and much lighter and trimmer.
