Help Reading Dashboard codes?

Going into the Diagnosis menu seems to lend the idea that it can be cleared via the menu as it ask YES or NO to clear codes in memory, so I thought perhaps that would allow it. I have taken Vroomhilda off battery for a few hours and taken to be load tested and the error codes for everthing remain intact. Maybe overnight might work or somehow I recall scott saying tape the negative and positive terminals together for atleast an hour and reinstall - sometime in a post post I had recalled seeing from someone else.
