First if all i would like to say hi. I m new here and this is my first post. I just bought a 2014 v7 racer and i m really in love with her...i have a question. I have the right spak plug wire that touches the cylinder, should i be aware of it? The bike has just covered 3500 from new so its almost new. Thanks , this forum really helped me with these unique machines

Congrats and welcome to the Guzzi and GT Famiglia. It sounds like you are talking about the clutch cable and not a plug wire. It should not be. Try a search and you'll find some simple solutions like zip-tying it up and out of the way. Let us know.

I m sure its the spark plug cable. It touches the fins of the cylinder

OK, pictures are always most helpful. Plug wires are usually high heat, but I'd hold them off the cylinder with a zip-ty.

My wires have rubber grommets on them that keep them from actually touching the cylinder. Came from the factory that way. Let me know if you want a picture.

I take a picture and post it. Yes pokey it would apreciate it thanks. Just to take an idea

I zip-tyd the wire to one of those plastic hooks...i think it should keep it off the cylinder. Thanks

I didn't get those grommets on my 2013. Thanks for that picture, I'll make up a set for my bike today. Easy enough o do since I have grommets laying around in my parts bin. I've got the same issue with those wires close or almost touching the jugs. Also... that clutch cable as mentioned, is a good one to zip tie out of the way. That rubber spacer on the clutch cable won't do much good especially if it slides out of place, it'll burn up anyway.
