I have see them on several Guzzi. A red strip along the circumference of the wheel rims. I assume it's a pin striping tape of sorts, I wouldn't want to mess with paint myself.

Any suggestions or pointers for how to go about it?

Hi,

I did it on my Griso also. To personalise my beast. B)
It are pin striping stickers (including text), 4 quart per side of your rim.
The other red accents are painted.

It is quite easy to put them on your wheel.
Make them wet with water and a few drips of washing soap.
In this way you can slide your striping at the precise place.
Let it dry and remove the upper protection.
It is not as easy as the professionals say, but if I can do it...

My striping is special made in my country in the Netherlands.
Other firms can do that too, just find them...

Sorry, it's in Dutch :S , I can't help it. And you need to contact them before ordering from abroad.

But I think in every region of the world, there are good companies who make these products (I think).
If not, and you (or others) need help with this firm (a bit translation, for example), write here or send pm.
