Anyone know why this superfluous bracket is attached to the left silencer on my Stone Ten?

The forward one may be for a side stand stop. The larger two hole one, my guess is a standard part used on more than one bike so it can fit other models.
That would make sense if it wasn't so far back. And why two holes?
Standard part makes sense I guess but why on the left only?
I just hate superfluous crap hanging off my bike!

No. It is the lower half of the overall bracket.
OK, Todd - you're right. Looked at the pic in the link and I see the part that mates with my superfluous bracket. Mystery solved - thank you very much. Do I have to install a centerstand now?See below. Can you remove the bracket on the muffler?
