Not trying to start out with"I am dying" but I am and don't know
how long I have left. Feeling pretty decent for what I have so I am keeping the faith
in my Lord and myself! Sitting here at home today I had a thought get in my head and
now I want to do it for fun. I want to make a diorama of the Moto Guzzi factory front and gate!
I am ordering 1/24 scale Guzzi bikes from the early years through the 70s and am going to
put them in front of the gate. I need pics from you guys that have been there to get an acurate look at it.
I would appreciate help from you guys!

Fun. I’ve been several times, but you won’t get too much better than Google (Earth is good if you’ve never downloaded it.. do). Here go;

Sorry to hear of your condition, sounds like you have your head right. On the pics, you might look in Wide mag, it is the Piaggio company thing. They had all kind of pics when rebuilding new stuff in old building.

Good lad Dave. Give me a call sometime my friend, Also send pictures of the project.

Actually, if you look in the newest Moto Guzzi hard book, you have a scale model in several pictures of the factory. I’ll post some photos later after work

Dave,

First and obviously, concerns for your condition and kudos for your "attitude."

As for your quest, not much to add. Have been to that Moto-Mecca several times, but only once did I get pix. Doh.

Anyway, here's one. Two others available, but those show little more and have no ladies but the two guys. That's a lose-lose. ;)

Seriously, most pix I've seen (understandably) have the attractive red gate closed, but "ours" -- that's Mike & Sue Craven and Kathi & I on rented Agostini Guzzis -- shows some interior if that's of any use. More recent visitors would know if Mr. Bond's pic is still just inside that entrance.

Let me (and others) know if you need anything more and, in particular, keep us posted on your project.

Best wishes in a most real, meaningful, and sincere sense,

Bill

Thanks guys, this is helping a lot! Im going with early model bikes and the latest will be a 60s V7 Sport. All di-cast replicas are from across the pond, found a few here in the States, but by the time you add shipping from Europe or Australia the damn things cost $30.00 bucks or more! Crazy crap. And Brian I will give you a call over the next few days. This last immuno round beat my ass real good. Thank you all very much! :D

Depending of how discerning you are about the quality of the models for you diorama, there are some more budget friendly versions… that might not be quite as “Accurate”

Ok, Some of the Red plastic spoke wheels are um… pretty ugly… but some of the others don’t look “too” bad.
If you aren’t above doing a little filing and painting, you could improve on them.

PS: sorry about the link.
