• NOTICE: The owner of this website and GTMotoCycles.com completely lost his home on the morning of January 8th in the L.A. Wildfire Storm. Most of his neighborhood is gone, and a few friends were killed along with their pets. The GTM SHOP and STORE are functioning normally, but we DEMAND EXTREME PATIENCE on orders as we are a SMALL business and Todd usually has his hands on nearly every order before it goes out. You can find more info on a post named L.A. Wildfires in the USA section. Our heart and best go out to everyone effected in this horrific disaster.

My Stelvio want start.
I have try to get any dealer to service my bike, but no one within 3-400 km have time until August...
"Kille Switch Active"
"Impossible to start"

My probleme is to find the fault. Handlebar switch seems to be fine, side stand ok.

Any one who can advice what mor to check?

The engine cut off switch is not allowing the engine to start. Be sure it is in the run position. With an account upgrade you can access the schematic for your bike to help troubleshoot.

More info needed, does it turn over & not fire? OR does it do nothing? Any clicks from relay? Dash do it's sweep & lights?

All relay has been tested, and fond working. But here is no "click" when try to start. All light in instr.Ok. But starter is not turning. I have try to add an earthcable to startrelay, and then stater work and turning engine. But it is no spark.

I had a terminal on the starter come loose once on my 14 Stelvio it was a spade type on the solenoid

Your engine kill switch is no longer working.

If you cannot remove it and clean it internally, then just purchase a new switch and install it. Problem solved.

After all, your switch is 14 years old.

A new switch is less than $180 dollars US so I expect a similar price in Norway.

Thanks for all good advice. But I have opened the killer switch and cleaned and sand contactors, but still not working. I will buy new tomorrow if I know this was the reason. But do anyone know which other components/sensor who can kill engine. Other than killer switch?

If the contacts are good, it may be a wiring issue. Check and clean the connectors for the RH switch gear.
