I just "semi" retired and moved from the UAE back to America. I live in Sarasota. I am from Vermont and Idaho so I don't actually know anyone here in Florida. Well, I don't know anyone interesting that likes to twist wrenches on bikes and cars. For me, working on cars and bikes is Zen therapy in this crazy world. I have most of the tools required to tackle any job, just need to buy a couple more puller sets (sold my massive UAE tool collection before repatriation). Any of you guys in the Sarasota area that want to scrape knuckles and toss back a few suds? Cars, trucks, bikes, lawn implements, I don't care as long as it has a combustion engine and is broken. Been so bored the first week of retirement I refurbished my 1985 Troy Bilt Horse. PM me if interested. Art

I come that way if there are enough bikes to make it worth the drive. Bout 5yrs ago I went to a friends in Tampa to do 3 Norges, stayed 5 days.

I am also adept with old Jeeps whether or not it is maintenance, repairs, or mods.

Did lots of Mercedes maintenance and repairs in Dubai. You tend to need a dedicated diagnostic tool like the Star system for thoses. I only have a Launch scanner.

Would that happen to be a "Launch CRP S7"?

So I’m from Ireland, live in a England , for many years we would come over to FL for the end of season drag racing industry ( motorcycles ) end of season party and last few drag races, it was generally a pretty wild time, up to 40 of us would fly out, rent 400+ bhp hire cars , hit the gun ranges, and eat and drink and catch up with friends from all around.
The first meet up was usually the Quaker steak and lube place near Bradenton , if you seek motorheaded folks this part of the world is among the best.
Jay Reagan at MRE has sponsored and helped so many of us from over the water.there is also the “cleetus McFarland freedom factory right on the drag strip at Bradenton, check his YouTube channel for maximum horsepower madness.
You will want a mini jet boat 😎
Have fun avoid the gators

And as a side note to the Mercedes stuff, I guess you know about diesel pump uk and the OM606 Dodge Charger with 680bhp?

The XJ i a superb platform. Too bad Jeep doesn't still produce them. I had a 03 TJ in Dubai. It was a beast in the dunes.
