My 2014 did not come with luggage keys. I looked around and found out that to get new locks with keys it would be $200 plus for each lock with keys from Guzzi. So, I looked at the existing lock and contacted SouthCo the mfg'er of the lock . They are located overseas and they asked me a few questions about size and measurements and told me the part number of the key that I needed and where I cud find them in the USA. Contacted one of the retail shops in SC and it cost me $15 plus shipping to get the keys for the OEM locks. They normally handle requests for 100's of items but only charged me minimal for single purchase of the set of keys. I would have replaced the locks if I cud not find the keys.

Now, I liked the luggage inserts and wanted them for the different compartments and the ability to keep item segregated and putting groceries in segmented sections. These inserts obviously are discontinued but I found new never used in Estonia. The total cost with shipping was the same as if I purchased new at a Guzzi store, if they had been selling them. So, I bought the insert set on Nov 1st and just got them today. Tracked them from Estonia thru customs and to my house. Perfect fit.

Now, I need to find a solution for luggage plus rack. I put a request into the seller of the pannier inserts to keep any eye for new or used OEM racks in his circle of trust overseas. You never know they might have a line on an OEM rack. I did an extensive search here in the states and found a used OEM rack on a salvaged totaled CA 1400 (same year and color as mine) and found another OEM rack on a for sale 2014 CA 1400 that looks in really bad condition. It does not even have any luggage, just the rack. It was/is sitting outside and taking a beating in the elements and is for sale for about $6000 down from $8000 last summer. It has 15000 miles on it. I sat on it earlier this year and did not want to buy it used because no one loved it enough. It would be good if priced lower since it is losing its luster. So I have found options for used racks but they do not sell just the parts. Although I could have bought the salvaged bike if I was a buyer/dealer but maybe I can find it parted out somewhere.

I once tracked down probably the last surviving new OEM mirrors for my V10 Centauro, by sending an email to literally every little “Mom & Pop” Moto Guzzi shop in Europe.

Sure enough, they they were, for over a decade, sitting on a dusty shelf, still in the factory brown paper wrapped and inside branded plastic bags.

Expensive as sin, ($300) but the feeling of them in my hands when I opened the bag from a tiny little town in upper Germany, was absolutely priceless. I felt like I had climbed Mt. Everest!

They sit on my Centauro to this day. Perfect.

To my eyes, a Centauro without the stock mirrors, just isn‘t a real Centauro because the mirrors he used, were a critical and unique design element of Luciano Marabese’s incredible design.

Congratulations and Good Luck!
